Remembrance Day 2026
Remembrance Day, observed on November 11th each year, is a solemn occasion dedicated to honouring the courage and sacrifice of military personnel who have served in armed conflicts. The Brewarrina RSL Club holds a commemorative service, followed by a moments silence at 11am to reflect on the bravery and sacrifices of those who served.

Josiah Healing Centre Community Christmas
Free community Christmas Party at the Brewarrina Racecourse with carols, jumping castle, BBQ, fireworks display, Santa visit and more.

Brewarrina Quick Shear 2026
A favourite on the speed shear circuit, the Brewarrina Quick Shear sees the region’s top shearers battle it out for the crown and huge cash prizes. Organised by Weilmoringle’s own LuSID Shearing and held at the Brewarrina RSL, the event offers rousing displays of fast-handed pros racing the clock. It’s a fun day out for the whole family.

NAIDOC Week 2026
NAIDOC Week is a national celebration that highlights the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is observed during the first full week of July and offers an opportunity for Australians from all walks of life to engage with and learn about the rich cultural heritage of the nation's First Peoples. Weeklong celebrations in Brewarrina include the annual march, family fun days, cultural workshops, Indigenous Games Day and much more.
Bre Big Fish
Held every June Long Weekend, the annual Brewarrina Big Fish and Carp Muster is one of the biggest fishing comps in NSW, that not only offers anglers a cracking weekend of fishing and fun but plays an important role helping to reduce invasive carp numbers. Proudly organised every year by the Brewarrina Fishing Club, this annual celebration brings together fishing enthusiasts, families and nature lovers from far and wide.

Bald Archy Exhibition
Known as the fun alternative to the renowned Archibald Art Prive, the Bald Archy Exhibition, held at the Brewarrina Visitor Information Centre, is an annual showcase of the finalists for the acclaimed satirical portraiture Art Prize.

Held every May, the annual Brewarrina Cup is a highlight of the local calendar, bringing together racing enthusiasts, families, friends, locals and visitors for a day of thrilling bush racing, community spirit and outback hospitality.

ANZAC Day
Observed annually on April 25th, ANZAC Day is a National Day of Remembrance to commemorate those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and those who have served and continue to serve in conflicts and peacekeeping missions. Services are held at Dawn and 11am at the Cenotaph at the Visitor Information Centre and RSL Club.
