National Parks and Wild Expanses

STAY A WHILE TO TRULY EXPERIENCE THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF THIS SPECTACULAR NATURAL SANCTUARY

Nothing captures the essence of the outback quite like Banjo Patterson’s acclaimed Waltzing Matilda, with its billabongs, coolabah trees and swagmen. And few places represent the bush ballad and iconic outback landscapes as vividly as Weilmoringle and the nearby Culgoa National Park.

The remote park lies 50 kilometres from Goodooga and 30 kilometres from Weilmoringle.

Here you’ll discover the largest coolabah woodland in NSW, majestic river red gums, waterways teeming with birds and wildlife, and rich First Nations history.

Immerse in the iconic landscapes by day through renowned walking tracks including Culgoa Connellys Track, Yuwura Yurun and Mirri Mirru Yurun, or pull up stumps at the Culgoa River Campground and stay a while to truly experience the sights and sounds of this spectacular natural sanctuary. Bookings required for Culgoa River Campground.
